Helpline
To speak to someone about a specific questions or concern, call our SAFE AND CONFIDENTIAL 1.888.PREVENT (1-888-773-8368) Helpline. The phone is answered by understanding people who are waiting to help. What are the Helpline hours? Helpline calls are answered Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. CST. (Stop It Now! is seeking support to increase the Helpline hours. For information on how you can help, contact Stop It Now! at 1-413-587-3500.)
Who answers the Helpline? The Helpline is staffed by professionals knowledgeable about the sexual abuse of children and familiar with Minnesota resources for help with sexual behavior concerns.
Are calls confidential? All calls are confidential. Stop It Now! does not have caller ID on our telephone and we are committed to providing confidential help.
Who calls the Helpline? We receive calls from adults concerned about their own behavior, adults concerned about an interaction between an adult or older youth and a child, parents concerned about sexual behaviors in their own children, professionals seeking advice about a specific situation, and adults who want more information about what they can do to prevent the sexual abuse of children.
What if I can't call the Helpline? You may also e-mail the Helpline at info@stopitnow.org HOWEVER, rapidly changing technology makes it impossible for us to guarantee the confidentiality of e-mail correspondence. If you want to ensure confidential help, please call our Helpline at 1.888.PREVENT (1-888-773-8368).
