How to Donate
You have three options to support the work of
Stop It Now!® Minnesota:
- By phone, using a credit card, call 651-644-8515, ext. 121, during regular business hours.
- By mail using a check or credit card, download the Donation Form (.pdf). Print and mail the completed form to the address on the form. Enclose your check to "Stop It Now! Minnesota" or provide your credit card information.
- Our national Stop It Now! office accepts on-line donations through Network for Good. If you want to support our work in Minnesota through an on-line donation, please list Minnesota in the optional designation field. To donate now, click here. [link to National's “Donate Now” page].
Stop It Now! Minnesota is a program of Project Pathfinder, Inc., a registered non-profit organization tht meets all criteria outlined by the Charities Review Council. Project Pathfinder has established a restricted fund for receipt of grants, contracts, donations and/or property earmarked for Stop It Now! Minnesota. All funds raised for Stop It Now! Minnesota and managed by Project Pathfinder will be treated as "restricted" to be used for the sole benefit of Stop It Now! Minnesota's mission.
Matching Gifts
You can increase the impact of your gift with the help of your employer if your employer has a matching gift program. Contact your employer for a matching gift form and mail the completed form to us along with your donation.
Tribute Gifts

Why Donate to Stop It Now! Minnesota?
Our Approach to Prevention
At Stop It Now! Minnesota, we believe that child sexual abuse is not inevitable. It's preventable. Our mission is to prevent the sexual abuse of children before a child is harmed and before an adult, youth, or child acts in a sexually inappropriate way towards a child. We believe that adults, not children, are responsible for preventing the sexual abuse of children.
Stop It Now! Minnesota works collaboratively, both statewide and locally, with organizational partners in public health, sexual violence prevention, child abuse prevention, victim advocacy, treatment, and law enforcement. We also work closely with professionals so they are able to help the families they work with recognize and respond to in appropriate sexual behaviors towards children.
Your Support Will Make a Difference
We have a solid track record. Stop It Now! Minnesota was one of three programs selected nationally by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) for three years of competitive funding to test Collaborative Efforts to Prevent the Perpetration of Child Sexual Abuse. In September 2005, we received funding for another two years from the CDC in recognition of our work. We are using this funding to continue our work and to plan for our future sustainability in Minnesota. We are at a crucial point in our short history and your support will help us sustain our work beyond CDC funding.
We are cost conscious. Our current budget is $210,000 per year. This funds our staff, travel to present workshops and trainings, printing of educational materials, as well as the basic expenses for rent, supplies, and telephone. Your individual or corporate contribution to Stop It Now! Minnesota will be instrumental in helping us continue to create innovative strategies to reduce the perpetration of child sexual abuse.
We use research to guide our efforts. We are committed to doing innovative, research-based prevention work and to evaluating our impact so we are able to reduce the number of children who experience sexual abuse. Support from individuals like you makes a huge difference.
We are about social change. To truly reduce the sexual abuse of children, we as members of communities and part of the larger society need to change. Just as Mothers Against Drunk Driving changed the social norms around drinking and driving, Stop It Now! Minnesota wants to change the culture that keeps adults who are worried about someone's behavior towards children from speaking up and taking action on their concerns. We want to change the culture where adults who are having sexual thoughts about children don't know that help is available or don't know where to go to ask for help.
